1604cupsofcoffee asked: Sorry for the millions of questions, and thanks for replying! Yesterday I found myself binging, just because to be honest, a part of me likes it? In the beginning, when you're hungry, the eating is fun. Then you get overstuffed and it's just awful. Today I didn't count calories but I did overeat, but I didn't binge! Not counting calories is so hard though, do you have any advice on making that easier? You're so inspiring :)) thanks again!

I totally get where you’re coming from with the part of you liking the binging.  I LOVE to eat, it’s how the inner fat girl in me comes out, haha.  It’s just that we’ve gotta find the proper time to say no to the food and learn when enough eating is enough.  That’s something I understand that I need to do, but it’s just sooo hard sometimes.  I’ve had so many days where I feel awful after binging the day or night before, and I’ve even missed school because of it.  But, when I feel like binging I just think about all of those days and how terrible I felt, physically and mentally, and then after a little bit, the binging doesn’t seem worth it.  Good job on the not binging!! Proud of you :)

I’m so glad I inspire you; it keeps me going when I know that my success with this disease is helping someone else :) About the counting calories, you’ve literally just have to focus solely on getting yourself healthy.  That means structured eating: 3 meals a day with a snack in between each one.  You have to make sure you feed yourself nutrients throughout the day, so you aren’t tempted to binge at night on the the things you’ve deprived yourself on during the day.  I always try to get protein and a carb in at every meal, because carbs are my binge foods and I know that if I deprive myself of them during the day, I will consume all of the cereal in my house at night, haha.  Also, feeding yourself like this throughout the day keeps your metabolism up and gives you more energy and I have actually lost weight from structured eating.  I hope this answers your question, let me know if you need anything else :)
